HOUSTON – After taking a hard fall, leaving the game and being X-rayed, Stephen Curry returned to Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals between the Warriors and the Rockets on Monday night at Toyota Center.
The MVP left the floor with 5:52 remaining in the first half and, after being diagnosed with a head contusion, returned with 5:58 left in the third quarter.
Curry was injured when he attempted to block a shot by Houston forward Trevor Ariza, who ducked after going up for the shot as an airborne Curry rolled off Ariza’s back and smacked onto the floor.
Curry remained down for about five minutes after landing on his head/neck area, with his right arm beneath his torso. He got up and walked off the court under his own power, helped by Warriors trainer JoHan Wang.
Curry was X-rayed in the Rockets weight room and diagnosed with a head contusion. After some light jogging in the corridors of the arena, Curry returned to the game.
