HOUSTON – Stephen Curry took a hard fall Monday night and was forced to leave Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals between the Warriors and the Rockets at Toyota Center.
With 5:52 remaining in the first half, Curry attempted to block a shot by Houston forward Trevor Ariza, who ducked after going up for the shot as an airborne Curry rolled off Ariza’s back and smacked onto the floor.
Curry was diagnosed with a head contusion and his return to the game is questionable.
With the entire Warriors team going to the far end of the floor to stand above him, Curry remained down for about five minutes after landing on his neck/upper back area, with his right arm beneath his torso.
The MVP eventually got up and walked off the court under his own power, helped by Warriors trainer JoHan Wang and additional medical personnel, who provided support for Curry’s his right arm.
Curry currently is being X-rayed.
