OAKLAND -– Stephen Curry finished Game 5 of the NBA Finals Sunday night with 37 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 104-91 Warriors victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Curry exhausted himself, so much so that after his postgame news conference he felt light-headed and, the Warriors confirmed, wound up laying down for a few minutes in the team’s locker room at Oracle Arena.
He was diagnosed with dehydration, according to the Warriors, but it was not so severe that he cramped or required intravenous fluids.
“He drank a couple fluids and was fine,” Warriors spokesman Raymond Ridder said late Sunday night.
Curry is expected to, after a night of rest, join the rest of the team’s traveling party on Monday morning for a 10 a.m. flight to Cleveland for Game 6 scheduled for Tuesday.
