Warriors center Andrew Bogut extended a warm welcome to Jarryd Hayne, an Australian rugby star who signed a three-year contract with the 49ers on March 3.
Bogut, who hails from Melbourne, Victoria, welcomes Hayne to the Bay Area from Minto, Australia.
Melbourne and Minto are both located in the Southeastern region of Australia, roughly 831 kilometers from one another.

Hayne, 27, spent the past nine years (2006-14) in the National Rugby League with the Parramatta Eels. In 2014, Hayne won numerous Dally M Awards, including Player of the Year, Best Fullback, Top Tryscorer and Representative Player.
He previously won the Dally M Player of the Year and Best Fullback Awards in 2009, the Best Winger Award in 2007, and the Best Rookie Award in 2006. He also represented Fiji in the 2008 Rugby League World Cup and Australia in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
