After the game, which he spent much of jawing at the Oklahoma City bench, Speights shared strong words for backup big man Kendrick Perkins, who collected four points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes.
“It’s just that Perk always has something to say,” Speights said. “He thinks he’s a tough guy, but at the end of the day, his game is terrible.
"He always has something to say to me, every time we play against each other.
"It always gets me going, so, a shoutout to Perkins for helping me get this game.”
Speights, 27, is averaging a career high 11.8 points to go along with 4.2 rebounds and 15.6 minutes per game for the Warriors this year.
The Warriors and Thunder face each other next on Dec. 18 in Oakland, and tip off twice more this season.
