The new deal runs through the 2016-17 season.
West joined the Warriors in May, 2011 as a consultant to owner Joe Lacob.
His contract was reportedly set to expire at the end of the upcoming campaign.
Last Thursday night, Warriors general manager Bob Myers agreed to a three-year extension through the 2017-18 season.
