Tom Brady made offseason headlines Saturday when he joined the Celtics' brass in the Hamptons during their meeting with Kevin Durant.
The recruitment didn't stop there, though, as Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz and New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman got in the mix.
Ortiz was first, Tweeting, "Yo @KDTrey5 sorry I couldn't make the meeting today but Brady will tell u they don't call Boston the City of Champions for nothing"
Edelman, Brady's top wide receiver, chimed in on Sunday, posting a photo of himself in a Celtics jersey and Tweeting: "From the fans, to the history, to the amazing city itself, Boston is best place to play hands down @kdtrey5"
Edelman is wearing a No. 35 Celtics jersey, which is the number Durant has worn his entire career in Oklahoma City.
Durant reportedly told the Clippers he will not be joining their team. The Thunder, Celtics, Heat, Spurs and Warriors are the top remaining contenders for Durant's services.
