Numbers don't lie: Steph, Klay vs the field in 3-Point Contest

The Warriors are off to the best start in NBA history with a 48-4 record at the All-Star break as they aim to defend their crown.

Steph Curry has been the leader for the champs, averaging a league-high 29.8 points per game this season. On Sunday, Curry has another title to defend.

As the reigning winner of the 3-Point Contest, Curry will look to be a back-to-back top dog from beyond the arc. He will have to take down his fellow Splash Brother, Klay Thompson.

Curry and Thompson are the top-two favorites to win the 3-Point Contest, according to Bovada LV.

At the break, Curry and Thompson are 1-2 for 3-pointers made. The dynamic duo has combined for 406 treys on 923 attempts.

In 50 games played, Curry has nailed 245 of 540 3-point attempts, good for 45.4 percent, and he leads the league in shots made from 3-point range.

For his career, Curry has already made 1436 of 3244 3-point attempts, on 44.3 percent shooting.

Right behind the MVP, is his backcourt mate Thompson. His 161 3-pointers in 383 shots is second to only Curry, and he has downed 42 percent from long range.

Curry is the only one of the eight participants to win a 3-Point Contest. He took home the crown last year, and Thompson, Harden and Redick all fell to Curry.
