In the wake of Klay Thompson's 52-point outburst against the Kings on Friday night, he has been receiving high praise from a variety of current and former athletes.
The latest is Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, who posted several messages on Twitter Saturday to congratulate Thompson.
After acknowledging the Warriors shooting guard's 37-point third quarter, Johnson called Thompson one of the best all-around players in the NBA.

He went on to write that any player that can score 37 points in a quarter deserves to start the All-Star Game.
Any player that can score 37pts in one quarter should be starting in the NBA All-Star Game!— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) January 24, 2015
Thompson made all 13 shots he attempted in the third quarter on Friday and added two free throws as well, en route to setting a new NBA record for points in a quarter.
Johnson concluded that the Warriors, owners of the NBA's best record, should have two starters in the All-Star Game in New York City on Sunday, February 15.
