Klay Thompson being cleared for Game 1 of the NBA Finals wasn't the only good news the Warriors received on Tuesday.
Marreese Speights, who has not played since straining his right calf in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Grizzlies, will be available off the bench against the Cavaliers on Thursday.
"Mo’s good. He’s good to go," Steve Kerr declared on Tuesday. "He’s had two good practices. He will more than likely play in this series. Just a question of how the rotations unfold, the matchups, that kind of stuff."
Kerr was encouraged by the way Speights practiced on Monday, but wasn't sure how the power forward/center would respond the next day.
Speights averaged 10.4 points and 4.3 rebounds over 15.9 minutes per game during the regular season.
Over seven playoff games, he averaged just 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 7.3 minutes per contest.
