Free agency was pretty good to San Antonio.
The Spurs not only landed the big prize in LaMarcus Aldridge, but they signed David West (who opted out of his $12.6 million player option in Indiana) to the veteran's minimum of around $1.5 million.
San Antonio also agreed to terms on a contract extension with Kawhi Leonard, and re-signed Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green.
"If they (the Spurs) don't win the whole thing next year it's clearly the coach's fault," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr joked when he joined the TV broadcast of Golden State's summer league game last Friday. "If Pop can't win the whole thing with that roster he has no business coaching in this league."
It's no secret that the Warriors look to San Antonio as a blueprint for success, and Kerr told CSNBayArea.com's Monte Poole that of all the legendary coaches he played for throughout his career, "I’m probably most like Pop."

Over 18 full seasons as the head coach of the Spurs, Gregg Popovich is 1,022-470 (.685) in the regular season, has won five titles ('99, '03, '05, '07, '14) and been named Coach of the Year three times ('03, '12, 14).
Kerr was a part of the championship teams in '99 and '03.
According to bovada.lv, the Spurs have the second best odds (3/1) of capturing the Larry O'Brien Trophy next season, while the Warriors have the third best at 11/2.
