Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has ended the guessing game on if Steph Curry will play in Game 3 vs. the Blazers in Portland.
Kerr went on The Dan Patrick Show Friday and went straight to the point when asked when he will make his decision on Curry's availability for Game 3.
"Well, it’s pretty easy. If he’s ready to play he can play. That’s based on what the trainers tell me and what we see with our own eyes in practice, and he hasn’t practiced with us yet," said Kerr. "So, Game 3 tomorrow, he’s not going to play."
Curry has continued to progress in his rehab from a sprained MCL in his right knee. But Kerr admits he still has a ways to go before the team is comfortable with him going full throttle.
"He’s getting better every day, but until he’s out on the floor with our team and scrimmaging and we’re seeing him move, and the trainers say it’s a go, we’ll just keep doing what we’re doing," Kerr explained.
While Kerr declared Curry will not play in Game 3, will he be able to go in Game 4?
"No way tomorrow, and I would say maybe a slight chance on Monday if he gets great work in the next few days," said Kerr.
"So Steph doesn't play in Game 3 and you're not even sure about Game 4?" Patrick asked Kerr.
"Right, correct," Kerr responded.
