The Streak is over. And so is the other streak, along with the third streak.
The Warriors record-shattering season ran into a wall Saturday night in Milwaukee, and the defending champions took a 108-95 loss to the Bucks at BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Failing to score at least 100 points for the first time this season, the Warriors fell to 24-1, while their overall win streak ends at 28 and their season-opening road win streak dies at 14.
Stephen Curry posted a team-high 28 points, adding seven rebounds and five assists. Draymond Green poured in 24 points, adding a team-high 11 rebounds and five assists. Festus Ezeli had 13 points.
Klay Thompson, who missed the game at Boston and was a last-minute entry into the starting lineup Saturday night, finished with 12 points in 30 minutes of action.
The Warriors were partly undone before tipoff, after playing a double-overtime game in Boston Friday night and getting to their Milwaukee hotel around 3 a.m.
The NBA’s best 3-point team shot 23.1 percent (6-of-26) from beyond the arc. The Bucks, one of the league’s worst 3-point shooting teams, finished at 42.9 percent (6-of-14).
Green was fabulous, but no Warrior was better throughout the game than Ezeli, who came off the bench bringing energy and production.
Ezeli’s line: 13 points (5-of-8) shooting, eight rebounds and two steals in 20 minutes.
After the Warriors scrambled back, trimming a 14-point deficit to three entering the fourth quarter, the Bucks opened the fourth with an 11-2 run, taking a 91-79 lead and forcing a Warriors timeout with 6:57 remaining.
The Warrior never got closer than seven after that.
Warriors: G Klay Thompson (R ankle sprain), listed as questionable, was announced a starter 45 minutes before tipoff. F Harrison Barnes (L ankle sprain) and F Kevon Looney (hip surgery rehab) were placed on the inactive list.
Bucks: G Jerryd Bayless (L ankle sprain) and G Greivis Vasquez (R ankle soreness) were placed on the inactive list.
The Warriors return home for a five-game homestand that begins Wednesday night, when they meet the Suns at Oracle Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.
