OAKLAND – The Warriors late Friday night announced that Justin Holiday is the lone free-agent trial signee to make the opening night roster.
Four others – forwards James Michael McAdoo and Mitchell Watt, guards Aaron Craft and Sean Kilpatrick, all rookies – were waived, along with veteran forward Jason Kapono, who spent only two weeks with the team.

Holiday, a 6-6 guard/forward, solidified his status with solid play in practice sessions as well as preseason games. It also may have helped him that fellow wings Brandon Rush is coping with a back injury.
Holiday's contract is for the two-year veteran minimum, about $816,000. He spent nine games with the 76ers in 2012-13 before playing last season for Szolnok of the Hungarian League.
