OKLAHOMA CITY – Draymond Green took a seat after shootaround Tuesday morning and cordially flicked away every question related to the Game 3 incident that dominated the sports news cycle for a full 24 hours.
Question 1: “How do you feel about the fairness of the decision?
“That is a great question,” the Warriors forward said.

Q2: “It didn’t end up in a suspension. How does that make you feel?
Answer: “That is a great question.”
Q3: “Are you relieved at all?”
Answer: “That is a great statement.”
Q4: “When you talked to the NBA, did they ask you to present your case or were they just asking you questions?”

Answer: “Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are two amazing players that we need to stop tonight. Dion Waiters really got it going in this series, so we need to key in on him, too.”
Green was in good spirits but unwilling to engage conversation related to his kick to the crotch of Oklahoma City center Steven Adams. Green was assessed a Flagrant-1 by game officials. The NBA office reviewed the incident and upgraded it to a Flagrant-2, fining Green $25,000.
With three flagrant foul points, Green is one flagrant foul away from an automatic one-game suspension.
Green may have been reluctant to discuss the matter, but Stephen Curry is convinced his teammate got the message.
“He understands . . . he’s able to play and he’s got to take advantage of the moment and that’s all that matters,” Curry said. “No other chatter matters. It doesn’t matter what anybody says outside of our locker room. We have to lock in and focus on that.
“He’ll still have emotion and an edge and that fire. But hopefully it’ll be directed . . . all about winning. There’s no time for anything else to take precedence for us, know that this is pretty much a must-win situation.”
