The Warriors are the defending champions, but they are not getting a lot of love from the oddsmakers in Las Vegas.
According to bovada.lv, Golden State has the third best odds of winning the title in 2016.
Stephen Curry, while in Las Vegas with USA Basketball, told Ken Berger of CBS Sports he finds that "funny."
"We obviously are the champs, and you've got to think that we're gonna be a better team next year with our experiences that we've had, and we're not the favorites," Curry said. "Obviously there's been a lot of noise, teams retooling and trying to boost their lineups.
"You have teams that haven't set foot on the floor yet and are heavily favored to kick us off our throne."
The Cavaliers currently have the best odds at 11/4, followed by the Spurs at 3/1.
The Warriors are 5/1, with the Thunder (17/2) and Clippers (10/1) rounding out the Top 5.
"We obviously know what's going on," Curry said. "And it's up to us to keep our momentum that we built."
The Warriors' quest for back-to-back titles begins on Oct. 27 in the season opener against Anthony Davis and the Pelicans.
