Warriors coach Steve Kerr indicated on Wednesday that he would rest selected players during the back-to-back set that begins Friday at Denver.
Kerr followed through Friday morning, saying that starters Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Bogut will not dress for the game at Pepsi Center. In addition, reserve forward Andre Iguodala also will sit.
Forward/center David Lee, the longtime starter who has not played in three of the past four games, will be inserted into the starting lineup to face the Nuggets. With him will be Shaun Livingston, Justin Holliday, Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green.
The Warriors (51-12) lead the Western Conference by a full seven games over second-place Memphis. The substantial lead surely was a consideration for the decision to four of the team's top six players.

In addition to those sitting for reasons related to rest, reserve forward Mareese Speights on Friday will serve a one-game suspension without pay.
