Warriors center Andrew Bogut will not play Friday against San Antonio and is out “indefinitely” due to back spasms, Warriors coach Mark Jackson announced.

“There’s nothing to red flag anything, we just don’t know,” Jackson said.

Bogut showed symptoms early Friday and underwent an MRI, for which the results were not yet available.

The big man was only recently cleared to play in back-to-back games, which he did earlier this week Tuesday at Utah and the following day at home against Phoenix. He has yet to play in four straight games in a Warriors uniform.

“At the end of the day, we realize this is a process and for a guy who has not played in a long time, you’re going to go through your body reacting to it, but we’re going to stay true to the process,” Jackson said. “We know how important he is to this basketball team and this is something we didn’t expect, but at the same time, we’ll take care of it and move forward.”

The game had the potential to become the first game in NBA history to feature three Australian players as the Spurs feature Aussies Patty Mills and Aron Baynes. The game will be televised live in Australia.

Bogut has appeared in 12 of 54 games this season.
