The Warriors are hopeful that Stephen Curry, who sat out Sunday's loss at Indiana with a sore right foot, can return to action as early as Tuesday night when they meet the Wizards at Verizon Center in Washington.
Curry participated in a controlled practice Monday in the nation's capital but remains listed as questionable. He likely will be a game-time decision.
Put another way, all indications presented by the Warriors suggest the injury is not as severe as feared.
Though initial reports conveyed Curry had injured his ankle, it was diagnosed upon further examination as a foot injury.
The MVP candidate injured his foot last Friday when he jammed his heel on the left foot of Spurs forward Boris Diaw in the third quarter of a win over San Antonio.
