The Sharks' bench is getting thin as several of San Jose's key players have exited to the locker room in Game 3.

Chief among them is Logan Couture who went awkwardly into the boards feet first on a hit from Jeff Carter in the second period. He would return to the ice later in the middle frame.

Marty Havlat also exited the game in the first period after making his return to the ice for the first time since Game 1 of the Sharks' postseason opener against the Canucks. Because of his existing injury, Havlat's Game 3 return in questionable.

The Sharks have already lost forward Raffi Torres to suspension for the remainder of the series for his hit on Jarrett Stoll in Game 1.
