VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) Just when it seemed the Los Angeles Kings would leave Vancouver with a loss, they rallied for a stirring win that stunned the Canucks.

Anze Kopitar scored 48 seconds into overtime, finishing off the Kings' come-from-behind 3-2 win over the Canucks on Monday night.

Kopitar took a feed from Slava Voynov and beat goalie Roberto Luongo with a shot into the top corner to send the Canucks to another loss.

Mike Richards tied it with 2:54 left in regulation, and Kyle Clifford also scored for Los Angeles (16-6-3). Ben Scrivens made 37 saves for the Kings, who have earned at least a point in 10 straight games (7-0-3).

"We've just got to scrape and claw for points, and that's what we did," Richards said. "It wasn't the prettiest on our part. We took too many penalties, and we turned some pucks over, but two points is what we wanted."

Henrik Sedin and Chris Tanev scored for Vancouver (12-9-5), which went 1-2-3 on a season-high, six-game homestand.

The Canucks also gave up a late goal in regulation on Nov. 17 in losing to 2-1 to the San Jose Sharks to kick off their homestand.

"A couple mistakes are costing us," Sedin said. "We're playing so well defensively throughout the game and it seems like every time something late in games is costing us goals. It's extremely tough to take."

The Canucks have lost seven of eight, scoring nine goals in those defeats.

"We're really sticking together as a group, and that's all you can ask for," Sedin said. "We should have had two points, but again we're standing here talking about a loss."

Vancouver is 0-9-4 when scoring two goals or fewer. Luongo made 19 stops for the Canucks, who are 1-4-3 against Pacific Division rivals this season.

The Canucks had dominated the Northwest Division for years, but they are struggling since realignment.

"It's a 60-minute game," Luongo said. "We did some good things, especially in the second half of that game, but obviously we fell short again."

Despite the loss, Canucks coach John Tortorella continued to stress the positives as his team continues to try to get results under his new puck-pressure system.

"I'm very excited about some of the things that happened tonight. You may call me crazy, but I am," Tortorella said. "We've just got to keep banging away and work on some details of the game, understand situational play and keep working at this."

Vancouver's 28th-ranked power play was 0-for-7 before Sedin beat Scrivens with a quick shot on the Canucks' eighth advantage, snapping a 1-1 tie at 6:59.

After Scrivens made a number of big stops to keep the Kings in the game, Richards took a feed from Jeff Carter and snapped a shot past Luongo to make it 2-2.

"It's a big goal to force it to overtime, and any time you can take it to overtime you give yourself a chance," Scrivens said. "We'll take the two points."

Vancouver had dropped six of seven before Monday, with the lone victory coming over Columbus on Friday.

Down 1-0 after the first period, Vancouver found some life after Sedin took a big hit from Jordan Nolan midway through the second. Sedin stayed down for a moment but didn't miss a shift.

The play woke up the Canucks, and they started to take the body more. Ryan Stanton eventually fought Nolan.

"I thought we took the game over after the hit with Henrik," Tortorella said. "I thought we were acting properly as a team and took the game over, scored on a power play, did all the right things.

"We didn't finish the game. Need to finish the game."

After Vancouver killed a penalty from the scrum that accompanied that fight, Tanev fired a harmless looking shot from the point that Scrivens couldn't get all of. Tanev's first of the season tied it 1-1 at 17:04.

NOTES: Vancouver's Daniel Sedin lost a tooth to a high stick early in the second period. ... Tanev has three goals in 118 NHL games. ... Kings G Jonathan Quick, who injured his groin on Nov. 12, is expected to be out until late December. ... Carter returned to the lineup after missing 10 games with a foot injury. ... Booth returned after sitting out three games as a healthy scratch. ... The Kings beat the Canucks 5-1 at home on Nov. 9. ... The Canucks begin a four-game trip at Ottawa on Thursday.
