Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault had some time to cool off after Vancouver's Game 1 loss to the Sharks.
But the following day Vigneault still stuck with his earlier notion that the Sharks cheat in the faceoff circle.
“Some of that is sometimes jumping and maybe making more scrums and winning those one-on-ones instead of trying to beat some of those guys clean, the way they cheat and they are allowed to cheat," Vigneault told reporters following the team’s practice at Rogers Arena.
The Canucks coach said the same thing in his postgame interview on Wednesday after Vancouver won only 43 percent of their faceoffs in Game 1.
Sharks captain Joe Thornton had a response to the Canucks coach, or rather a lack thereof.
