Legendary Raiders wide receiver Tim Brown has been named a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the museum announced on Tuesday.
Brown was among the 26 players to make the cut from the 113 nominees submitted this year. Brown has been a finalist five times without being inducted to the Hall of Fame.
Raiders guard Steve Wisniewski, uncle of current center Stefen Wisniewski, was not included among the semifinalists despite earning that designation last year.
Brown had 1,094 receptions for 14,934 yards and 100 touchdowns. He was also an excellent return man, and his all-purpose yardage count ranks No. 5 all time.
