New Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio is active trying to fill out his assistant coaching staff.
He’s been linked to Marc Trestman and Bill Musgrave as an offensive coordinator and Eric Mangini as a defensive coordinator, among others.
An ESPN report out of Chicago has stated that Joe DeCamillis is interviewing with the Raiders on Monday. DeCamillis is a well-known special teams coach, and it’s assumed that he would fill that same position in Oakland.
DeCamillis has been a special teams coach since 1988, with stops at six NFL teams during that span. That includes a two-year stretch in Jacksonville working with Del Rio, from 2007-08.
DeCamillis spent the last two seasons working under Trestman in Chicago as assistant head coach and special teams coordinator.
ESPN is reporting that DeCamillis has two other interviews scheduled as he searches for his next job.
