The Raiders continue to examine the draft’s top quarterbacks with a magnifying glass. The team reportedly met with Central Florida’s Blake Bortles on Monday during an official visit at the team facility. NFL Network first reported the news.
The team hosted Johnny Manziel last week.

Bortles is considered among the draft’s best passers after a sterling 2013 season where he led the Knights to a Fiesta Bowl victory.
At 6-foot-4 and 229 pounds, Bortles has the size and arm strength to be a quality pro, those scouts generally believe he needs some seasoning before succeeding at the NFL level. He is often compared to Pittsburgh Steelers passer Ben Roethlisberger.
Some mock drafts have him going No. 1 overall to the Houston Texans. While the Raiders traded for veteran quarterback Matt Schaub, they haven’t completely abandoned the idea of drafting a quarterback at No. 5 overall. The Raiders plan on taking the best player available at that spot, and are taking a close look at all of the prospects worthy of that high selection.
