OAKLAND – The Raiders finished 4-12 for the second straight season, and will have another high draft pick because of it.
The Raiders will have the No. 5 overall selection in the 2014 NFL draft. There were five teams that went 4-12, and the Raiders position within that group was based on strength of schedule. The Raiders ranked third on that list.
The Houston Texans will have the No. 1 overall pick. The St. Louis Rams will pick second with a selection acquired in a trade with Washington last year. The Jacksonville Jaguars pick third and the Cleveland Browns select fourth.
The Raiders traded the No. 3 overall selection to Miami last season, and took cornerback D.J. Hayden with the No. 12 overall pick.
