The Raiders added another receiving prospect to their expanded offseason roster. They signed free agent Austin Hill, the team announced on Tuesday. They waived receiver Milton Williams III in a corresponding move.
Hill was a productive player at Arizona, and is a big, physical receiver standing 6-foot-3, 212 pounds. He had 49 catches for 635 yards in 2014, a year after missing an entire season with a knee injury.
He isn’t as fast as he used to be, but could still compete during the offseason program. Hill signed with Seattle immediately after the draft but didn’t last long. Hill was undrafted, but now finds an opportunity in Oakland, where there will be intense competition on the back end of the receiving depth chart.
