GUILDFORD, England – Marcel Reece was in the middle of a pickup flag football game, trying to coordinate a clump of English children into a football shape.
No such luck.
The Raiders fullback hopped ahead of the herd to offer encouragement, not realizing some onlookers placed purses on the field of play.
He tripped and flipped head over heels. One instantly wondered if Reece got hurt at the "NFL Play 60" event, which would have been a catastrophe of the highest order. Reece popped right up with a smile on his face. Crisis averted.
Tuesday’s event went off without a hitch. Several Raiders put young children through a workout and tried to teach some basics of American football.
“I can remember being a little kid playing pickup games in the street with my brother and cousins,” linebacker Khalil Mack said. “That’s why I enjoy events like this.”

The Raiders are slowly acclimating to a significant time change in the United Kingdom, something that doesn’t happen in a day. They are getting more comfortable, and don’t believe they’ll have issues practicing or playing well.
“Coaches set it up to make it feel as close to the normal routine as humanly possible,” Mack said. “We’ll get acclimated and we’ll be really focused. I’m excited about this week.”
