The Raiders promoted offensive tackle Jack Cornell to the 53-man roster. Cornell has spent the season on the practice squad, save an Oct. 6 win over San Diego when he was activated for depth. The Raiders have done so again because injury has sapped their depth chart along the offensive line.
Cornell's promotion is also a sign sign that Tony Pashos -- labeled doubtful for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh with a hip flexor injury -- will not play. Without him, Cornell will become the lone reserve offensive tackle. Center Stefen Wisniewski will return, but the offensive line remains thin beyond the starting five. Cornell and gaurd Lamar Mady are the only healthy reserves.

The Raiders released defensive lineman Brian Sanford in a corresponding move.
