LONDON – Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins went from bad to worse. The Raiders, getting pummeled by an average Dolphins team, lost Derek Carr to an injury.
Oakland's starting quarterback hurt his ankle and knee on a 2nd-and-2 play from the Miami 46-yard line with a little over 5:30 remaining in the third quarter.
Carr pleaded with the coaching staff to stay in the game despite the fact that he could barely walk, but coaches replaced him with backup Matt McGloin.
Two plays later, Stefen Wisniewski's shotgun snap flew past McGloin and Dolphins cornerback Cortland Finnegan scooped it up and ran 50 yards for a touchdown to five Miami a 38-7 lead.
Matt Schaub is back in the United States tending to a family matter.
