ALAMEDA -- The Raiders had five starters sidelined for Wednesday’s practice, but there is optimism that some will make it back in time for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
Receiver Rod Streater (hip) believes he’ll recover in time to play. Cornerback Carlos Rogers has a knee strain, but head coach Dennis Allen didn’t believe is was anything to worry about. Defensive end Justin Tuck was out due to illness and should be ready to play.
Uncertainty surrounds linebacker Sio Moore (ankle), though he was moving well in the locker room without a walking boot. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew continues to recover from hand surgery, and it’s too early to tell if he’ll be able to play.
“We’re going to take the healthy bodies we have and try to get a win on Sunday,” Allen said. “Everybody deals with injuries in this league. We’re no exception.”
