ALAMEDA – Raiders receiver Denarius Moore missed Wednesday’s practice with a shoulder injury. He could miss Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans as well.
Head coach Dennis Allen said Moore is currently day-to-day and might be most of the season. Sunday should be too soon to return from a shoulder injured trying to make a difficult catch against the Houston Texans.
He didn’t secure the reception, but landed hard on his shoulder. An exact diagnosis was not confirmed, but Allen said the injury would not require surgery.
“This is something he’s going to have to deal with as we finish out the season,” Allen said. “Whenever he can tolerate the pain and can push through it, he’ll be back.”

While he’s been inconsistent, losing Moore for any stretch difficult. He leads the team with 569 yards and five receiving touchdowns, without an established backup waiting in the wings.
Andre Holmes should take his place opposite Rod Streater, but he has just one catch all season. The Raiders have receivers little help from reserve pass catchers this season, leaving starter Matt McGloin without one of his best weapons.

OF NOTE
Veldheer targeting Thanksgiving Raiders left tackle Jared Veldheer isn’t expected to play Sunday against Tennessee. Coach Dennis Allen said the fourth-year pro, practicing while on injured reserve with a designation to return, is targeting a Thanksgiving road game as a return to action. Veldheer has missed the season recovering from triceps injury.
MRIs provide mixed results: While Moore remains out after a shoulder injury and end Jason Hunter is out with a foot issue, other players who received an MRI Monday were back at practice Wednesday. Right guard Mike Brisiel (knee), receiver Andre Holmes and defensive lineman Daniel Muir (knee) were limited in practice.
McFadden still out: Allen said Raiders running back Darren McFadden is getting "closer" to a return. He missed his seventh straight practice, although he continues to work out on the side.
