ALAMEDA –- Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck popped up on the participation report after missing Wednesday’s practice with a knee issue. Tuck gave reporters the old, “I’m hurt not injured line” on Sunday, meaning that a skipped practice wasn’t cause for alarm.
That inkling decreased on Thursday, when he was a full participant in a practice without pads.

“No, he’ll be ready to go,” Raiders defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. said before practice. “He’s just a little bit older than he was before. It takes a little bit longer. He’s a competitor. He’ll be ready to go.”
The same could be said for safety Charles Woodson, who returned to work Thursday after a day off. Woodson could keep up that routine all season while dealing with a dislocated shoulder strapped in a harness on game day.
NOTES
-- It looks like defensive tackle Justin Ellis will miss a second straight game with an ankle sprain. He has missed every practice since a Week 1 loss to Cincinnati.
-- Edge rusher Benson Mayowa remains out with a knee strain suffered in the preseason finale.
-- Browns cornerback Justin Gilbert was added to Thursday's participation report with a hamstring strain. He was limited.
-- Safety Tevin McDonald was re-signed to the Raiders practice squad. He was promoted to the 53-man roster for Sunday's win over Baltimore and waived on Tuesday. He was expected to come back if he cleared waivers.
