ALAMEDA – The Raiders will play Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos without cornerback Carlos Rogers and left guard Gabe Jackson, who were formally ruled out Friday with knee injuries.
The Raiders played without Rogers last week, and should use a similar rotation in the secondary. Tarell Brown and TJ Carrie – he’s questionable with an ankle injury, but is expected to play – should start with DJ Hayden added in the nickel package.
The Raiders will swing Khalif Barnes over to left guard after playing right tackle during the season. Barnes played five games there last year and is ready for a return with Jackson out.

“It was a bit difficult when Gabe got hurt in the game, because so much is different going from right tackle to left guard,” Barnes said. “After a week’s practice, I’m back and comfortable with what I’m doing. Playing inside shouldn’t be a problem at all.”
Other injury notes from Raiders practice:
-- Chimdi Chekwa remains out with a hamstring strain. He won’t play on Sunday.
-- Receiver missed a second straight practice attending to a family matter, but will be ready to play on Sunday against Denver.
-- Receiver Vincent Brown is probable and ready to return after missing four games with a hamstring strain.
-- Rookie cornerback Keith McGill will play for the first time since Week 4, when he suffered a groin strain.
