Left guard Lucas Nix is officially listed as questionable with an ankle injury. But his spot in the starting lineup has been given to Andre Gurode, according to Raiders head coach Dennis Allen.

That decision has nothing to do with performance. Nix played hurt a while after injuring his ankle against Jacksonville an his performance consequently suffered.

Nix was limited the last three days, which has given Gurode some first-team reps.

“This decision is based on Lucas’ health, and the fact that he wasn’t able to do much in practice,” Allen said. “That’s what went into the decision. We’ll see if he’s able to go. We’ll monitor that all the way until game time.”
