ALAMEDA –- Raiders cornerback T.J. Carrie played through an ankle injury Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. He won’t be able to do the same Thursday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Carrie was formally ruled out on Friday, when the Raiders issued their official injury report.
He didn’t practice during the short week, and was seen walking with a pronounced limp. The Raiders hope the extended time off will help resolve the issue enough that Carrie will be able to play the following game at the St. Louis Rams.

Carlos Rogers is also ruled out, meaning D.J. Hayden and Tarell Brown will start a cornerback. Neiko Thorpe and Chimdi Chekwa will play in reserve.
Left guard Gabe Jackson was deemed questionable with a knee injury, but he is not expected to play. He hasn’t done anything at full speed, and has spent most of his practice time with the scout team.
In addition to Carrie and Rogers, safety Jonathan Dowling and tight end Jonathan Dowling were also ruled out of Thursday’s game.
