Kelly Skipper was the Raiders’ longest tenured coach. He was running backs coach since 2007, a position he held through five changes at head coach. That tenure, it seems, has come to an end.
New head coach Jack Del Rio has hired Bernie Parmalee as his running backs coach, Parmalee’s son announced on Twitter.
Parmalee is the latest in a run of offensive assistants hired by the Raiders. Rob Moore has been hired as receivers coach and Mike Tice will coach the offensive line.
Parmalee was an NFL running back with the Miami Dolphins (1992-98) and the New York Jets (1999-2000). He has primarily been a special teams coach in his post-playing career.
Del Rio continues to fill out his staff, but still doesn’t have a defensive coordinator locked down.
