The Raiders will play at O.co Coliseum next season, something known for quite a while. Getting a one-year lease extension formally ratified as taken some time, though an agreement was never in doubt.
Final approval should be granted on Friday morning during a special meeting of the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum Authority, which governs the stadium complex used by the Raiders, Athletics and Warriors.

The Raiders played the 2014 season under a one-year lease extension. They have no ties to the East Bay in 2016, and have recently gone in with the San Diego Chargers on a stadium proposal in Carson, just south of Los Angeles. Owner Mark Davis’ primary goal is to find a long-term solution in Oakland, and public and private entities are still working to build a football stadium that will keep the Raiders in the East Bay.
