OAKLAND – Raiders quarterback Derek Carr surveyed the field on 3rd-and-9 from his own 37-yard line.
He didn’t find a receiver open to his liking, so he took off running left. He was close to the first-down marker, and decided not to slide. He came in hard and got hit with force by Adam Jones as he headed out of bounds.
Carr didn’t get the first down, and got hurt in the process.
At halftime, the Raiders announced Carr injured his hand and is questionable to return to the game.
Backup quarterback Matt McGloin took over on that drive and was in on the next series.
Carr was 7-for-12 for 61 passing yards and had one carry for eight yards.
