ALAMEDA -- Carson Palmer wore a hoodie on the sidelines of the Raiders practice field Friday, observing his first team workout since he suffered broken ribs and a bruised lung in Sunday's 17-6 loss to the Panthers.
He wasn't the only Raider to return, as running back Mike Goodson and safety Tyvon Branch were back on the field, and participating. Goodson, who is averaging 6.24 yards per carry this year for Oakland, is expected to be either a limited or full participant Friday. He missed practice Thursday due to illness. Branch (neck/ankle) is enjoying a bit of the veteran treatment this season, keeping his body fresh by sitting out practices early in the week.
As is the case most Fridays, the media availability window at the start of practice was short, but it was long enough to witness the team break from warm-ups and see Terrelle Pryor quickly cozy up to the line for the first snap of practice. Raiders Director of Media Relations Zak Gilbert suggested not to read into it, and Pryor and Matt Leinart proceeded to split the first-team quarterback reps evenly.
Right guard Mike Brisiel (concussion/ankle) and cornerback Philip Adams (groin) were again not practicing.
