Hindsight adds perfect perspective. The NFL Network used some this week in a 2014 re-draft, where analyst Daniel Jeremiah was asked to re-draft the top 10 selections using the season’s first half as a guide.
The Raiders should feel lucky this one doesn’t count. Jeremiah selected Raiders outside linebacker Khalil Mack No. 1 overall, something the Houston Texans wouldn’t mind at this point given the early absence of Jadeveon Clowney.

Mack’s promotion wasn’t surprising. Jeremiah’s No. 3 overall pick might be. He gave the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Derek Carr at that spot, 33 selections higher than the Raiders used to get him.
While it may change in time, Carr is clearly the best quarterback of the draft class so far.

That’s proof the Raiders got tremendous value out of their first two draft picks, both of whom have star quality.
With Mack off the board, Jeremiah had the Raiders select Alabama inside linebacker C.J. Mosley with the No. 5 pick.
