The Raiders preseason opponents are set. The NFL announced the entire exhibition slate on Wednesday afternoon, including four tangles involving the Silver and Black.
Most of them also involve the NFC North.
The Raiders will play at the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. They’ll host Detroit in Week 2 and travel to play at Green Bay on Aug. 22 (5 p.m. pacific) in a nationally televised game. Despite playing Seattle in the regular season, the Raiders scheduled their ninth straight exhibition meeting with the Seahawks for Aug. 28 to close the preseason.
Most dates and kickoff times won’t be released until later this spring.
The Raiders will open the preseason at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus, which is the Vikings temporary home while their new stadium is being built.
The Week 3 matchup at Green Bay will bring general manager Reggie McKenzie back to the area where he was groomed. He worked his his way up the Packers personnel department (1994-2012) before being hired by the Raiders.
