SAN DIEGO – The Raiders defense got some good news for a change. Defensive tackle Vance Walker passed his final concussion-related test on Saturday and was activated for Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers.
Even with Walker in uniform, the defense has its work cut out against quarterback Philip Rivers and the Chargers attack. The Chargers are healthy and playing as well as they have all season.
Running back Darren McFadden is active and will play, as expected.
In a sign that he’s formally fallen out of favor receiver Jacoby Ford was a healthy scratch heading into a pivotal game. Denarius Moore, Andre Holmes, Rod Streater and Greg Jenkins are the receivers active for this game.
In addition to Ford, receiver Brice Butler, running back Jeremy Stewart, cornerback Chance Casey, guard Lamar Mady, guard/center Andre Gurode (healthy scratch) and defensive tackle Ricky Lumpkin were rule inactive.
