ALAMEDA -- Raiders edge rusher Khalil Mack has dominated the opposition recently with 15 tackles, four sacks, two tackles for losses and five other quarterback pressures.
His body might be the only thing slowing him down these days. The Raiders held Mack out during Wednesday’s padded practice with an injury that will be disclosed later Wednesday on the team’s participation report.
Mack spent the practice session in the performance center, away from team activities on the field.
He wasn’t the only starter missing in action. Safety Nate Allen also missed work with a knee injury, which got aggravated during Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs.
It is uncertain whether he will be able to return against the Denver Broncos.
The same can be said of center Rodney Hudson, who missed another session with a sprained right ankle. He has missed three of the last four games.
Taiwan Jones did side work with a brace on his right knee. Linebacker Neiron Ball remains out, and is unlikely to return this season.
Cornerback Keith McGill returned to practice after missing a few weeks with an ankle issue.
The Raiders will update players’ injury status later Thursday afternoon.
