Raiders owner Mark Davis was originally supposed to meet head coach Dennis Allen on Monday to discuss the future. A league source told CSN’s Fallon Smith that the original plan was scrapped due to unforeseen circumstances, and the meeting was pushed to Tuesday.
While Davis reserves the right to change his mind during the course of the meeting, sources have indicated to Smith and Raiders insider Scott Bair that the owner is expected to keep his head coach in place.
The Raiders must also discuss keeping assistant coaches, many of whom have rapidly expiring contracts. That group includes defensive coordinator Jason Tarver. While Allen is expected to keep his job and wants to keep his staff largely intact, some shuffling is expected.
