EUGENE, Ore. -- A quick glance at Dillon Brooks' stat line from Oregon's last game could have told Stanford exactly what to expect.
Five turnovers, 2-of-10 shooting and a season-low four points in a win over California didn't sit well with the Ducks' leading scorer, as the Cardinal found out the hard way Sunday night.
Brooks had 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, and Oregon pulled away in the second half to a 71-58 victory over Stanford.
Tyler Dorsey and Dwayne Benjamin added 12 points apiece for the Ducks (13-3, 2-1 Pac-12), who have won 18 consecutive home games.
"I came off a bad game against Cal and I wanted to make up for it," said Brooks, who came within three assists of the first triple-double by a Duck player in 13 seasons. He also provided a much-needed emotional spark in the second half.
"I'm just trying to be a leader out there, be ready to play, ready to rebound and trying to get everybody fired up."
Jordan Bell also had eight points and 10 rebounds as Oregon (13-3, 2-1 Pac-12) dominated on the boards by a 38-22 margin. The Ducks had a 36-16 edge in points in the paint and led 16-3 in second-chance points.
"I thought Jordan Bell gave us a big, big lift," Oregon coach Dana Altman said. "Second-chance points were the difference in the game."
Michael Humphrey led the Cardinal (9-6, 2-2) with 18 points. Rosco Allen had 13 points and Marcus Allen 12 before fouling out.
The Ducks led 31-29 early in the second half when Brooks passed to Bell inside Stanford's zone for a dunk that sparked a 14-7 run. Moments later when Brooks found Benjamin for another dunk after an offensive rebound, Oregon was in control at 50-39.
"They're good, and you have to compete every possession against them to give yourself an opportunity," Stanford coach Johnny Dawkins said. "To their credit, they made a spurt to kind of open the game up a little bit, and we were playing catch-up for most of the rest of the game."
Dawkins, whose team was shooting for the Pac-12's first road sweep of the season, came away impressed with Brooks.
"He's a heck of a competitor," Dawkins said. "He doesn't take possessions off. He's always active and looking to make plays for himself and for his teammates."
After Marcus Allen's three-point play pulled Stanford to within 58-49 with four minutes left, the Ducks made 11 of 12 free throws to put the game away.
Humphrey had 11 points in the first half as Stanford built an early six-point lead and the Ducks struggled against the Cardinal's zone, missing 10 of their first 15 attempts.
However, Oregon finished the half strong, going 6 of 8 over the last eight minutes, and led 28-24 when Dorsey rattled in a short baseline jumper over three Stanford defenders just before the buzzer.

Oregon guard Casey Benson improved his assist-to-turnover ratio to 5.7, more than twice the average of the next best Pac-12 player, with six assists and one traveling call against the Cardinal. The sophomore doesn't rank among the conference leaders in assists per game, and coach Dana Altman said that's by design. "He's played it like I've asked him to," Altman said. "You don't have to make fancy plays to stay on the floor. He doesn't turn it over in practice, so I wouldn't expect him to turn it over in the games."

Stanford: The Cardinal, last in the Pac-12 in free-throw accuracy at 66.0 percent, didn't go to the foul line in the first half for the first time this season. . Rosco Allen is the only Stanford player to start all 15 games.
Oregon: The Ducks swept California and Stanford in Eugene for the first time in eight years. . Jordan Bell is within nine of the school record for blocked shots held by Blair Rasmussen, who had 116 in 114 games. Bell now has 107 in 43 games. ... The Ducks are 86-13 at Matthew Knight Arena, which hosts its 100th game on Jan. 21 when USC visits. The Trojans also were the first opponent five years ago when Oregon sold out its new 12,364-seat home for the first of six times.
