Hall of Famer Chris Mullin turned 50 in June, but he isn't too old to teach the Sacramento Kings a lesson in shooting the basketball.
The Kings, who are working out at UC Santa Barbara this week, engaged fans in a friendly competition when new owner Vivek Ranadive offered students the chance to win Kings tickets by beating players in a three-point contest.

Reports indicate Jimmer Fredette hit 10 of 15, DeMarcus Cousins connected on nine if 15, and rookie Ben McLemore was good on seven of 15 attempts.
Fredette's 66.7 percent mark appeared tough to match, but Mullin sauntered down to the court to accept the challenge ... and put on a show.
Mullin tore out of the gate, connecting on each of his first 12 attempts. He finished 14-for-15, taught the Kings they have work to do to become elite NBA shooters, and kept his new boss from having to pony up with tickets.
"We might need to sign him to a little 10-day," Cousins said smiling. "Mullin can shoot the cover off. He's a Hall of Famer for a reason."
"He went on a hot streak," Fredette said. "He's an unbelievable player. I loved watching him growing up. Awesome experience to, at least, shoot against him. But he was on a streak today."
The performance came as no surprise to former teammate Mitch Richmond.
"I knew it was going to happen," said Richmond, the "M" in the Warriors "Run TMC." "He walks in like he hasn't warmed up or he hasn't shot in awhile. I knew he was going to come together and get some shots in, but he did a great job."
Mullin, a five-time All-Star, shot 38.4 percent from beyond the arc over his 16-year career. He retired in 2001, was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2011, and hired by the Kings as an advisor to Ranadive last month.
