The reason for Sacramento Kings guard Rajon Rondo being suspended for one game due to his actions for an ejection in Mexico City became clear on Monday.
Rondo made homophobic slurs to long-time NBA official Bill Kennedy, who announced Monday morning that he is homosexual. He then went to Twitter to make statements on what he say, but many didn't see them as a true apology.

On Tuesday, Rondo clarified his comments in an official apology to Kennedy:
“Yesterday, I said that my words toward Bill Kennedy were unacceptable and did not reflect my feelings toward the LGBT community. Some have interpreted my comments as a non-apology. I want to be clear, from the bottom of my heart that I am truly sorry for what I said to Bill. There is no place on or off the court for language that disrespects anyone's sexual orientation. That is not who I am or what I believe and I will strive every day to be a better person.”
The Kings take on the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. vs. the Houston Rockets in Sacramento, in which Rondo will serve his suspension.
