MEXICO CITY -- Rajon Rondo is in a good place right now with his basketball career.
But Boston – specifically fans of Boston’s pro teams – will always hold a special place in his heart.
“They know the game. That’s what impressed me most about being in Boston,” he told Comcast SportsNet New England. “They know the game. They appreciate it. They’re the best fans.”
It wasn’t unusual to see Rondo back in town prior to start of training camp at Fenway Park checking out a Red Sox game (who knows what all-star forward that Rondo might run into, right?), or taking in a Patriots matchup at Gillette Stadium, or maybe keeping it close to home and watching the Bruins play at the TD Garden.
