The Sacramento Kings extended a qualifying offer to Tyreke Evans, making him a restricted free agent, Kings new GM Pete D’Alessandro announced Tuesday afternoon.
Sacramento selected Evans with the fourth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, and he responding by averaging a team-leading 20.1 points per game, a team-best 5.8 assists per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and 37.2 minutes per game en route to being named the Rookie of the Year.

Unfortunately, his numbers have dipped in each subsequent season:

2010-11: 17.8 ppg, 5.6 apg, 4.8 rpg, 37.0 mpg
2011-12: 16.5 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 4.5 apg, 34.4 mpg
2012-13: 15.2 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.5 apg, 31.0 mpg

As a restricted free agent, Evans can negotiate a contract with any franchise but the Kings have the ability to match any potential offer.
